This whole thing where every episode of Star Trek: Discovery is written to be an edge-of-your-seat stress fest is exhausting. Entertaining, for sure, but seriously folks you can toss in an occasional character development romp and it won't hurt our feelings.

Its why I quit by S2E2. I didn't like the main character we are SUPPOSED to like , I dug Yeoh bc, well, Yeoh but didn't know or care abt anyone else bc they were cardboard cutouts. They tried at times but no follow thrupic.twitter.com/szgIQdcQEZ

I figure they'd need longer seasons to give us more filler stuff. Not that character development is filler, but only so many characters get fleshed out with 13-15 episode seasons. Lost was doing character background for four seasons IIRC.
