hi I hit my device de-auth limit on Google Play Music and instead of dealing with that I installed YouTube Music because I'm going to ride this abusive relationship all the way down

Wait they don’t limit Auth, they limit DE-Auth? That’s...that’s nuts. Like as bad as iTunes is I can always just de-auth everything and then re-auth if years have gone by and I can’t access the iPods or work PCs that used to be authorized etc.

You can have up to 10 devices authed at any time, but to add #11 you have to de-auth something. I think you can only de-auth 15 things, which is a problem when your job is constantly trying new phones.

I think I'm up to 6 or 7 de-authed devices. All old phones and tablets.

Yeah like some day, even the average consumer is gonna blow through those 15 de-auths. It’ll take awhile, but then what, you can’t use your music service (and whatever else?$ on the new Pixel 9 you just bought?

I think some of them fall off after a year or something, it's been a while since I've looked at the Arcane Tome Of Knowledge
