Did you get a resolution for this issue from Google, I didn't, I went through 2 phones and decided it's by design, maybe not a great design. I purchased another phone.

Unfortunately, a speaker enclosure vibrating also means added distortion and uneven frequency response which peaks and dips will vary with more on what's around and behind the speaker. It's bad acoustic design and never a good trick to get louder
