I love working on the train. I get way more done, or at least it feels like I do. Very focusing. Wonder what it would be like to do a train residency, just wander the US on a train and write like I normally do.pic.twitter.com/8SMT1mJvqw

Have you seen Train Jam? Not the same thing, but tangentially related (because trains): https://trainjam.com/
THAT'S SO COOL. I wish I did anything at all that could contribute to this in a meaningful way, I bet that is a BLAST.
Journos frequently book passage on it and report on the entire trip as an experience piece, like a mini convention before GDC. Tons of stuff to discuss: the games, the personalities, the slice-of-life stories, etc. Have a few friends who do it annually.
(Dev friends, sorry, have lots of journo buddies but not the ones who do Train Jam ;)
Sorry, last reply: there's usually quite a few things that fit into art/narrative driven experiences. If you can write (pretty sure you can ;P), you could sign up for that!
Oh man I think I might. that looks so damn fun.
