Oculus Quest is packing Insight, its new Inside-out tracking through four wide-angle cameras. It picks out edges and corners in the space around you, eerily similar to how Hololens works.

This design has some challenges with shiny surfaces or walls with no detail. Insight is supposed to improve on this over time. When you aren't in a room, Insight has no problem tracking you. There's a massive demo area here to show how this works.

Oculus Guardian supports multiple rooms. Insight recognizes the room you are in, and draws the boundaries automatically if you've drawn them before.

Many of the Oculus SDKs developers are already using "just work" on Oculus Quest. Unity/Unreal integrations already support Oculus Quest. In fact, Superhot was ported to Quest in a matter of weeks.
