Only really true in the US/UK. There are several other markets (Argentina is a big example) where Motorola is the dominant brand.

These aren't big markets on a global scale, but there are parts of the world where the company has worked overtime to basically be THE brand thanks to tariffs and shit.

Yep, it's because they have factories there so no red tape. Same reason OnePlus and Xiaomi are big in India now.
