I've never understood why snow isn't considered wonderful during the winter. I'll take that and actual seasons over constant heat and humidity of Florida any day of the week (or year).

Totally agree, I grew up in Florida and now I'm somewhere with seasons and the occasional snow. However, I see the other side where if I was buried in snow for a few months a year I'd be sick of it too. It's all about balance I guess.

Happens annually (mid-Fall). This year Red Tide season is early, likely getting more attention due to the # of vacationers still around and getting sick from the algae. Haven't seen any reports up along the panhandle or Alabama coast, seems to be staying south.
