"Hey Russell, why are you walking down the highway at 9am with a rake?" Good question, Twitter. Allow me tell you a tale.pic.twitter.com/ZDikDLVFMi

Five miles into my 23 Mile ride, the right earbud falls out of my ear. I see it hit the pavement, and immediately hit both brakes. Left one of those awesome skid marks like all the cool kids do. The earbud must have bounced into the grass, because I couldn't find it.pic.twitter.com/SDFKfubRQM
I decide to complete my ride, go grab a rake when I got home, and conduct a thorough search. About a mile from home, I see this guy doing his job and mowing the grass along the side of the highway. He's headed right for the area where my earbud landed.pic.twitter.com/noI2vC8UnR
I grab the rake, park as close to the spot as I can, and ran over to search the area. 20 minutes into searching with no result, I decide to wake up the other earbud and see if I can pair it to it's lost sibling. Reach into the pocket, open the case, and THE OTHER EARBUD IS GONEpic.twitter.com/lKDwaFHTNo
This turned out to be less of a mystery, it had fallen out of the case when tumbling around in the seat bag on my bike. I searched in the grass with my rake until it started to rain, and finally gave up.pic.twitter.com/tNQ56ZPt43
In conclusion:
- I can't be trusted with full wireless earbuds (I washed my Airpods a while back)
- @Jabra_US should REALLY add a "lost my earbuds" mode in it's app
- The Elite 65T buds are actually pretty good, but not designed for constant intense movent
