It seems like virtual keyboards are getting worse, not better, so the BlackBerry KEY2 is coming to rescue @russellholly

Swipe typing is the best, having to actually press buttons would quickly tire your fingers especially thumb, and other reasons (like being able to not always have it there, being able to change the design and functionality, etc...)

You know we used to use real keyboards all the time, right? Like, touch screens are a fairly modern invention. My thumb muscles can handle it.

We also used to use the keyboard rather than mouses or touchscreens to navigate... (And people's fingers handled it) Doesn't mean it was better.

I remember, it was good times! The difference there is we built software which made mouse input more efficient. We're not at that point yet with phones, in my opinion. Trace typing, while enjoyable, is still not accurate enough for me.

It's plenty accurate for me (though Google's autocorrection/prediction has taken a MASSIVE nosedive for me and people I know over the last month)

It has been until recently, where it has degraded - however I type entirely accurately with tapping which is also faster when not requiring depression like on a physical board (and is functionally the same)

My entire article was about trace typing, because if I'm going to tap type I might as well use a physical keyboard where I get actual tactile feedback. I can type on a BlackBerry kb without looking at it. I can't do the same on a tap keyboard.

I can, guess it's just a preference thing
