What are some of the most common and basic Javascript Interview Questions? Answer this without using Google (or any other search engine of your choice). Haven't given any interview for a long time, but here's some which I keep hearing. Thread 🧶

At some point we as a community started infantilizing the beginners. “Beginners will misunderstand/misuse your advice”, etc. Beginners aren’t stupid! They are plenty capable for understanding nuance. Give them more credit. Infantilizing is just another form of gatekeeping.

Situations devs need to burn themselves to properly "get it": - "Let me skip unit tests and ship this quicker to prod" - "This crash I saw... never mind, can't repro. Probably not even a bug. Push to master." - "$90/month for this simple SaaS? I'll build it in a day!" What else?

Oh fuck, just now sent me username and plain text password of one of their customer, WTF. Do these even have a single security person in their company? Or do they only have 13 feet wall like Aadhaar and some cow urine as anti-virus?

2019 version of the same question: what technical (soft or ‘hard’ skills equally relevant this time) book published in the last year or so would you recommend to everyone? Slack still has the professional development funds, we’re still hiring!

My favorite part of creating a pull request is to organize code into commits to tell a story. All the while ensuring each individual commit builds successfully & affects only one area / package / component. This is hard work. But I don't want to just shove a feature in a sack.
