        It doesn't matter because not enough people will download it because irrespective of the tech it's built on people don't trust the government.

        solely via the apple/google API? Or are the QRCodes going to be wrapped up with IMEI etc and then sent to central database?

        The QR scanning system is decentralised in the same way as the Bluetooth tracing.
