1) The tent of a friend & his family burned down today in #Moria2. He was able to rescue his sleeping brother & cousin from the flames. "The fire burned everything down in less than a minute. The fire appeared out of nowhere. It was just there." he reports.

2) He adds that cables get hot very often. People have electric stoves. If the power goes off, they often leave their electric stove on. That sums up: when the diesel generators come back on, a lot of appliances are sucking power at the same time. Cable fires occur.

3) He also reports that someone from the second family from the tent had suffered burning. He does not know how serious the injuries are. Luckily, no one has died. At the moment they are still looking for a place to sleep tonight. It was the 4th fire in in 5 month in

4) The fire department did not arrive for about 10 minutes. So the fire was again brought under control by residents before it could spread. The plastic tarps can catch fire easily. Neighboring tents were already beginning to melt.
