    1/ Sometimes I find myself giving the bull case for venture capital as an asset class. I thought y'all might find the pitch interesting so I'm going to share it Note If you're pitching your market/asset class you've already lost. I just refuse to surrender so 🤷‍♂️

    The threat posed by the is global, terrifying and real. The threat it poses to the CCP is doubly so. The CCP derives it’s power & legitimacy from competence and an air of invulnerability. If they make any mistakes here, show any falability, the system could fall.

    This is why we need massive oyster farms. CO2 in the atmosphere is bad. Loaded in the oceans it’s even worse. Massive ecosystem collapse. We’re not talking uncomfortable temps, we’re talking extinction events.

    Agreed! Both have their place but some people prefer voice, some video and some, the written word. It’s fine to express your personal preference here but it’s a bit judge-y to shame those with other preferences. If anyone wants to go back to letter writing, I’m here for it.

    Am I the only one that has a much easier time connecting over voice than video? I get fidgety having to sit in one place and get distracted by the visual

    I never really understood the debate between optimizing for high growth vs optimizing for profitability. From a founder's perspective its always better to optimize for sustainable growth. It reminds me of the most basic game theory. Single play, prisoner's dilemma.

    I know Micah isn't be literal here BUT... Founders do really need to take care of their nutrition. One of the things we've learned working with founders through is that digestive problems are super common and can cause all sorts of issues if not addressed

    Startups in the Bay are more likely to die of indigestion. Startups outside the Bay are more likely to die of starvation.

    Funny how Twitter shows me the importance of clarifying the things I’m *not* saying. Those inaccessible VC firms often remain inaccessible for a reason. The pt is that (qualified) investors shouldn’t exclude VC just bc they can’t access specific ‘brands’...

    The Spanish Flu killed 50M people or roughly 3.3% of the world’s population at the time. This was before we had easy same day global travel. If we suffered a similar fate it would be ~250M dead and 2.5 billion infected. Can you even imagine the chaos?
