First interferogram for Jan 24 Mw6.8 in eastern . Frame captures only western tip of deformation, that extends eastward along Puturge segment of East Anatolian Fault. Processed w/DIAPASON at

Preliminary finite fault model for 01-24-20 M6.7 eastern Turkey earthquake. Seems reasonably well resolved despite small size for teleseismic analysis. ~20s of rupture, predominantly to SW (in this model).

Source results for Puerto Rico. We waited until yesterday’s descending pass to post anything so we could get better constraints on fault geometry. Probably a good bit of leeway on the reported dip

Very simple & crude fault model based on data for Mw6.4 : deformation compatible with a ~NE-SW offshore "blind" normal fault dipping towards north. USGS focal mech parameters, fault dimensions ~18x12km. NOT incl. variable slip & other shallow events

Care about how channels record slip (...or when they don’t) on strike-slip faults? Read about it in our now-in-press paper with and or come hear me give a 3-min summary at 1:40 on MONDAY in eLightning Theater 2

Just added two more papers on the Teton Fault to our December list: Amazing to see how much is going on now in the Northwest, and probably a new record set by for having four (!) papers out in just one month.
