We need @SFPD guarding the few vital stores that are open right now. What happens if all the markets & pharmacies go out of business because of things like this? Then what??

They're not going under, Walgreens makes over $130 billion a year. $20 worth of crap covered under shop lifting insurance isn't making them lose shit.

IDGAF that a multi-billion dollar corporation is losing very little merchandise that's covered by insurance. Is it okay? Considering how they treat employees and how wage theft exists? Yes.pic.twitter.com/pRjlHzCxkL

Yes, but the issue is this isn’t just happening to Walgreens in SF. It’s happening to all stores in the city, big & small. A lot of mom-&-pop shops, esp minority-owned. Open up the Citizen app & see. Chinatown esp has been hit hard recently. Wrong is wrong, no matter what the $.

Couldn’t agree more. This is the backwards, amoral thinking that justifies crime against anyone who “can afford it” or allows criminals to walk & re-victimizes people based on some bs reasons like the victims were “asking for it” bc of their race or income bracket, etc.
