Has anyone tried Alibaba’s so-called mid-end e-commerce platform Miravia, which has been available in Spain for a few weeks?
Also, why are all the China Big Tech interested in Spain for ecommerce?

From what I’ve heard, Aliexpress sellers do very well in Spain and as a result also perform well in Latin America.

Spain's ccTLD is the go-to TLD for people searching for Spanish-language content. Competing products may be constrained by Spain's IP system, which grants exclusive import rights to the first applicant past the post, regardless of whether that person has ties to the manufacturer.

I would have thought this is because of LATAM angle (you build brand in Spain, and that helps go LATAM later).
But not sure if this logic can be supported with numbers, out of 47m people in Spain, looking at stats only 2m or 3m are from latinamerica.

Perhaps the success of Xiaomi might have sth to do with it. Only country in Western Europe where it’s number 1

I'm not sure why Rui, but Spain seemingly has also been one of the most successfulm markets for AliExpress. I do think that they were having problems convincing local/multinational brands to join the platform because of its 'cheap stuff' positioning. They might be diversifying.
