I don't know the answer; yes, I'd rather have angry white men voting left than right. But so much of our politics is built by & around angry white men, why should, once again, winning them be the thing that inclusive, anti-racist, feminist coalitions are willing to stretch for?

but the thing is: sanders isn't tailoring his message to appeal to these disaffected voters' bigotry, or hiding his multi-racial coalition from them. he's just giving them the same pitch he gives everyone, & some of them find it appealing. that's not bending, that's persuading
