rather than working top-down through a whole map, I always believe in going the 'perpendicular' way and cutting a path across for a specific thing I actually want to do (make a blog? a social app?)

Generally I don’t trust a map like this if - seeing the entire map tells you nothing about its contents other than “it’s complicated” - it’s structured around concepts rather than which pieces affect each other, e.g. which api client you use will affect you state management

If it’s made such a way where the only relationship of value is within a one node radius then it may as well be made as one of those early 3d games where you plod through a labyrinth of corridors
