One big reason I've wanted touch (even simple touch, eg https://twitter.com/rsnous/status/1036838826751094784 …) or buttons (eg on a breadboard->Pi) in Dynamicland is basically to do quasimodes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mode_%28computer_interface%29#Quasimodes …) where the mode is only on while you're holding the button down

yup! little spherical neodymium magnets, I think I think I figured out that they conduct electricity, so could detect the switching that way somehow too…
