I wish banning actually did more. I've had the same person banned so many times from making multiple accounts. Reported so many times and they still keep coming back 
twitch really needs to work on this
If you get banned in a Twitch chat, that entire channel should no longer exist to you. Banned should equal blocked. Blocked from viewing, from searching, from stalking, everything.
Not "I just can't chat there."

It really does. So many other restrictions need added. I’ve already had someone make a new account to come back into chat for the next stream, and I haven’t even been doing this a year yet. And that was super duper freaking tame to what others have experienced.

I’ve banned people from my community before and they joined in a raid 20+ minutes later and started harassing me and one of my viewers, as well as the streamer we raided. It was awful!!

Thankfully their idea of harassing me was typing “CAZIE IS A QUEER” and I was like “NO SHIT IM SUPER QUEER” lol! But I still feel guilty that I brought this person into my friends stream. That was awful.

That could be worked around by just logging out, unless twitch twitch suddenly will require you to be logged in while watching a stream.

you mean you cant ban people from viewing your content? I think banned from chat should mean that but you should be able to ban fully. Otherwise your inviting stalkers to just keep doing it because they dont need the interaction they view you playing as interaction

Yep, that's the problem. They're only banned from chatting, not from viewing the content, seeing who you're hosting/raiding, etc.
