A year after his passing it’s easy to reflect on how many things I learned from knowing . Perhaps the most profound is the fact that The Grateful Dead actually have a number of good songs....Thinking of you today, friend, you are missed.

For all the big thinking in SV, I’m surprised nobody has done the napkin math & bet that for SV pocket change (most you could get donated) you could make a strong run at repealing Prop 13 & installing pro-growth politicians in Sacramento. I would be down to work on this.

Funny, I took it as a big middle finger to the people of San Francisco who could use more competition in their transportation offerings. I guess it's good for the egos of elected officials though who no doubt feel powerful, so at least there's that.

An immense amount of respect for what ⁦⁩ and ⁦⁩ built with ⁦⁩. Like many startups they tried something daring and hard, but very important. I hope this isn’t the end, but the beginning of a movement.
