It’s been a hard year to fundraise for many, including fund managers.
I know several GPs that have struggled to raise, met with countless noes and retracted LP commits.

A GP’s responsibility is to eventually return far more capital than they collected, but closing a first fund is a big milestone worth celebrating.
It’s also the “we’re open for business” sign for founders.
