Re VC firm branding/positioning: I think first pure we are about "The Future Of Work" for a VC firm was . Fast-forward to 2020, it feels like nearly every VC fund should be positioned this way. It's what they're investing in & it's what many founders are drawn to.

Now there’s a serious question about whether being thesis driven makes sense or not at this stage. We set some boundaries and have some guesses, but the truth is that we’re just looking for lightning...

perhaps unbeknownst to you all back in 2013, it is now so broad that I think the benefits of branding/attraction outweigh any negatives (and is true to your mission)...

ooh, that could be an interesting "REWIND" podcast idea, to go back to those early debates. Also, I just realized Haystack was itself entirely "remote" for the first 6 years -- no office, distributed team ;-)
