I think it's important that we model movement work from a honest place. Fucking up is part of it. What matters is if ppl learn and do better

Everyone who organizes was at some point ignorant of what they know now. No one has to fux w anyone else, but lingering on it is a waste IMO

She made a comment comparing sexism to racism. It was insensitive to women of color who experience both. She apologized and deleted it.

Some WOC took offense, but I did not. As a WOC, I think her analogy was raw and powerful. Sexism should be taken as seriously as racism

Well, how many POC are supporting nasty, degrading rap songs demeaning women? I hear it all the time in cars blairing at stop signals.

I never understand comments that say "but how about...?" -- that's another conversation. Besides, it has nothing to do with what I said.
