Systemic oppression, drugs and violence were the norm but there was also a vibrant culture going back to the Fillmore jazz era.
Why does this have to be about then vs now? What the crime rate was 20 years ago has zero to do with what we are experiencing today. I’m simply saying crime is occurring today with such velocity that stores are suffering (as are consumers). Poverty and theft must be addressed.
Agreed. However, you stated that “SF is collapsing on itself” insinuating it’s getting worse & your neighborhood is light years better than it was. There are homeless addicts for sure, although tagging a DA isn’t a solution, it’s fearful commentary that belongs on the citizen app
