Do you genuinely believe imprisoning low level drug dealers has any effect on drug usage? We’ve been fighting the War on Drugs for the past 40 years & drug addiction has become even more of an issue.
Curbing drug addiction & thus overdoses requires massive government rehabilitation programs that we just do not have right now. Boudin is taking the correct approach by not imprisoning addicts; he’s not responsible for short comings in other areas of government.

I never said imprison addicts - I said dealers. Make fentanyl harder to get. The dealers are literally killing lots of people almost 4X

Yeah but again...we’ve been pouring drug dealers into prisons for the past 40 years with no success. What you’re describing has proven to simply not work. There’s always going to be someone to fill the market vacuum.
