Trump defends his “very fine people” comments on Charlottesville: “People were there protesting the taking down of the monument of Robert E. Lee. Everybody knows that.” Fact check: There were many neo-Nazis and white supremacists.

How do you know they showed up for the rally rather than just to protest against the taking down of a statue. It doesn’t bring any legitimacy to their beliefs other than the one they were protesting for.
-
If I see people protesting next to me with KKK attire & swastikas; I’m going to leave & probably reflect on what exactly I was protesting for. That protest became more than just about a removal of a statue. It was about white supremacy.
-
In your eyes it did. Some people are looking at it as history. If you don’t remember and learn from the past, you’ll relive it. I love how everything always stems from white supremacy....ridiculous.
-
You're blinded because it's your base. you voted for trump knowing his beliefs and what he stands for you're just as bad. Those ppl could have protested without the WS and NN stuff, freedom of speech wouldnt have been tainted. They had an agenda dressed as concern for a statue.
-
You don’t know me or anything I’ve done in my lifetime to tell me I’m a bad person....this right here is the reason I won’t go back to voting dem.
-
If facts matter than it matters that there were only two sides. The demarcation line was clear. One side was flying Nazi flags and the flags of traitors to the Union. At least own the facts of your stance.
-
So does that mean you are standing with Antifa?
-
When there are literal Nazis and White Supremacists threatening people I will stand with whomever is standing against them.I don't understand why this is confusing or complicated. Are you saying you would abandon your black and Jewish neighbors because Anti-Fa is there?

So what about the antifa thugs who were on the other side?! Does that make EVERYONE complicit? A few bad apples don’t spoil the whole bunch, girl.
-
This is like the 100th tweet I’ve seen this in. You don’t have to like Antifa, that’s fine, but if you *honestly* believe comparing the KKK/Neo-Nazis to Antifa is a fair comparison; that says more about you than anyone else.
