    Anyone had any success installing Debian/Ubuntu on an x86-based QNAP NAS (e.g. TS-253A)? Even though QNAP exposes root ssh shell, their home brew Linux distro is SO annoying :/ I'm aware of: but it seems to focus on ARM-based QNAPs only...

    's 36C3 talk in which he denounces decentralization. Yet, he forgets(?) an important threat vector: the Signal vendor itself... (~he). But once we include AVAILABILITY in the threat model, this simply cannot be ignored, IMHO. Good talk anyway.

    I have a number of fairly complex graphs (thousands of nodes), which I generate/process via python & networkx. I've been using graphviz to do visualization, but I need more fine control of the output. Seems like TikZ/PGF is the solution, but perhaps I should also look at other?

    I was fired last week by Google for organizing. All I did was make a popup to share the labor notice Google has to share with its workers. 3 hours later mgmt came to my desk, took my phone/laptop, escorted me away. I never got to say goodbye. My story:
