    Windows certified devices require Virtualization Extensions enabled by default in the bios. Funnily enough the only reason it was off is because scared everyone shitless in the mid 2ks with "bluepill" hahaha

    I think this shows the PITA with chat apps today is _not_ lack of common network protocol (like SMTP), but lack of agreed *storage* formats/conventions. If we could enforce stronger separation between the apps logic vs data storage, we would be able to switch apps easier.

    So you want to ditch WhatsApp? You convinced ur friends to install Signal? You even thought them how to export your chats from WhatsApp? Only these chats now in some unapproachable ZIP file, stored somewhere, not accessible from the New Chat App... Pity it's not like email, eh?

    Warsaw Metropolitan Police admits their un-uniformed unit was in the crowed and engaged into a fight with demonstrators:

    Nieumundurowani policjanci podjęli czynność legitymowania wobec jednego z agresora na Placu Powstańców Warszawy. Nastąpiła próba odbicia mężczyzny. Policjanci użyli siły fizycznej. Osoba został zatrzymany.

    Women's strikes against anti-abortion laws continue in Poland... Last night police used gas against the protesters (mostly comprising women). An un-uniformed unit of police mixed into the crowd and started beating people. Looks like the gov is starting to loose their temper...

    Perfect excuse to siphon off massive amounts of data on people to sell to the highest bidder. What's worse are the companies/schools that want to force you to use this malware.

    Research found majority of the COVID19-tracing apps on iOS to be a "privacy minefield". NO ONE COULD SEE THIS COMING! :(

    Sure, a user can deny the app's permission to access location, mic or camera, etc... but what good is that if your gov/school/employer REQUIRES you to use that app?

    In regards to asking for permission to camera/mic/photos, you should have the option to deny access, though, no? Of course this doesn't make it right, just asking if the apps would "casually malfunction" if they didn't have the extra permissions.
