    The easy path is to make promises you can’t keep, control the narrative, seek institutional protection, and raise millions from the same donors who supported Cuomo. The more challenging path is to seek full accountability and seize this moment to fix our broken system. 3/

    We won’t get there if keeps Cuomo’s loyalists who specialize in privatizing public goods and services as they quietly monetize their positions. We’ll never get there if we go back to cutting backroom deals, trading in policial currencies to maintain power. 2/

    There are dozens of ways wage theft can happen. It can be as simple as working overtime but getting paid your normal hourly rate. It can also involve being asked to work off the clock, not getting worker’s compensation for an injury, or not being paid for a meal break.

    “It is a crime, and the problem is the people, they get used to it. The problem is they're not, they don't have the knowledge,” We organize w/ workers across trades to make sure criminal bosses are held accountable. Workers have the knowledge and power to end wage theft now!

    It looks like there’s an internal corporate democrat memo circulating to tell governors not to “discourage income” by taxing the rich. To be clear, we are discouraging extreme wealth gaps, the concentration of money and power, and corporate looting.

    Colorado’s Democratic governor recently went to a right-wing newspaper to threaten to veto climate legislation. Now he’s at a far-right conference echoing right-wing tax talking points.

    Yes. Commissioners swear to uphold the law and enforce statutes. During a pandemic where a state of emergency is called, the Commissioner has the power to give directives. He helped Cuomo issue directives that killed New Yorkers and withheld information from the legislature.
