In a written PQ reply the DWP have admitted they've paid out over £51m to support Severe Disability Premium claimants who've lost their entitlement when transferred onto Universal Credit. I was recently awarded £25 in compensation for a failure by the DWP to inform me over an overpayment made to me and that it was to be deducted off my UC by instalments. It took two months via my MP’s office to find out what the payment was for. It was overpaid Carer’s Allowance.

And so many of these PIP claimants were probably on ESA and were forced to claim UC due to flawed decisions at assessment phase and no one cares at the DWP that they cannot go back onto ESA when they win their Appeal. Groundhog Day at every CABx
