Don’t we all support “reducing incarceration and tackling racial bias within the criminal justice system”? It’s a ambitious goal, but mismanaging a big and important department, having a terrible relationship with the police, and not prosecuting crime, will not accomplish this.

I would be jumping for joy if Chesa were implementing programs that were bring real Criminal Justice Reform. But he doesn't have any idea how to do that.

They haven’t. It’s just release. They sit there and say incarceration doesn’t work. Same old thing. Time to try something new. Yada, yada, yada. Then, they release these people wo services to the same environment that made them criminals
