WHY WAS THIS SO HARD TO COMPREHEND?!?
@chesaboudin would’ve been a damn good public defender. DA? It was a death sentence.. thanks a lot moronic SF voters.pic.twitter.com/JcRkrJ0hOs4 replies 1 retweet 13 likes -
To be fair to us voters, only 75% of registered voters voted in that election. Of those, 36% voted for Chesa. The majority voted for the other three “law-and-order” candidates. The problem is they split the votes. So he narrowly won due to the Rank Choice Voting process.

Yup, the majority of people didn’t vote for Chesa. In fact the majority of those who voted in 2019 REFUSED to vote for him, exhausting their ballots rather than vote for him. Only about 16% of total registered San Franciscans voted for him.pic.twitter.com/qOxqvfWBk1

Yes I was one of those who refused to vote for Chesa in any ranking. He was thoroughly unimpressive in his Reddit Q+A. He was already totally arrogant and beyond reproach before he even won the office.

People need to learn that about ranked choice...never cast a vote for anyone you aren't sure you want in office

Or they need to know that they should just vote for the same person in all choices if they don't like or don't know the other candidates.
