Grassley said he will listen to debate and that "it would be really wrong for me to say I have my mind made up."

Grassley's office clarifies that he was meaning to explain what would happen if Pence had to step away during Wednesday's proceedings to count Electoral College votes. "Every indication we have is that the vice president will be there," Grassley's office said.

I thought the Constitution specifically says VP must do this. Can it be delegated?

Think the original mistake was suspecting a law or constitution was binding on repubs. They can do whatever they like. Laws are optional to them, accountability be damned.

That actually sounds like a fun game though, jokes aside. Anyone have any chickens I can borrow? I’m vegan, so they’ll be safe! lol

Pence is trying his best to appease Trump voters and moderate Republicans at the same time. He’d need both groups to win in 2024.

Is our future one in which all losers of elections will never accept it, claiming fraud, and eventually using military to grasp power, Central America like?
