The government do also know that compliance is about to go out of the window, right? Throw people a little something...2 people meet outdoors, maybe a 10k radius? This 'strategy' is just going to result in many ignoring ALL rules and those who are compliant increasingly resentful

An exclusive interview to The Irish Mirror. It's taking time to even sink in. The absolute disrespect to every citizen, never mind the businesses who haven't been able to open for a year or the unemployed. Talk about handing the opposition the next election on a plate...

For a government who often says they know they need to get better at communicating, telling the nation they’re in level 5 till May with an interview in a paper and leaks from cabinet while leaving your ministers high and dry on tv and radio is probably not the way to improve.

Just a reminder of what those Capitol steps looked like during BLM protests. Miss me with the “overwhelmed” and “unprepared” law enforcement. There’s no such thing.

Hardly feels like a New Year’s Eve to celebrate, the news is pure doom and even worse for my family in the UK where pure madness seems to rule every SINGLE government decision. Still, I will cook, drink champagne and hope that better times are closer than it feels.

Stephen’s Day/Boxing Day is the real winner for anyone who does the cooking, let’s be honest. All the leftovers, none of the stress (and no need to get dressed up, so irs comfy stretchy pants.)

Let’s just remember that yesterday, the vaccine was approved for use in the EU, news that feels very overshadowed. It’s not all as bleak as it feels...we’ve just got to hang in.

Early reminder to be *mindful* of what you share on Twitter and Instagram on Christmas Day, because an awful lot of people aren’t going to have the day they had planned with the people they want to spend it with.

THE VACCINE HAS NOT BEEN PUT THROUGH ‘TOO QUICKLY’. TONS OF MONEY WAS MADE AVAILABLE AND THE SAME NUMBERS OF PEOPLE WERE TESTED AS WOULD NORMALLY BE IN ANY TRIAL STAGES. STOP LISTENING TO WEIRDOS.

Consider 2020 a wake up call about the rhetoric around Christmas. It’s not OK to assume everyone is looking forward to an idyllic family Christmas every year. I’m actually a bit ashamed its taken me looking into one without my own family to get it- will be far more considerate.
