    This also helps to reduce zoom fatigue I've found - subconsciously critiquing yourself in a mirror all day is draining.

    “Hide self view” in Zoom makes me feel 100 percent more present in any conversation and has generally improved my pandemic quality of life since I started doing it regularly

    Absolutely blows my mind that the Australian government is considering this🤦

    1. yes, the constrictive way the code is written this is the only logical move for them. Mandating payment for links & snippets breaks the Internet & makes it uneconomic. 2. any alternate search provider would have the same problem. 3. insane as it sounds, get bookmarking? 🙉

    For , I wrote about our epistemological and practical inertia, this time using the apparent permanence cloth-masks—a sufficient stop-gap—instead of us moving to better masks, especially indoors, as an example.

    Have been wondering about this lately - cloth masks were a stop gap, folks should seek out higher quality masks now.

    I had an opportunity to talk with Emily Oster on rapid Ag tests. In her recent newsletter, I discuss the ins and outs of them, pros/cons/caveats, comparisons to PCR, etc. Hope it is informative. It is written in a very approachable way.

    Today's newsletter features on antigen testing. It's long, but I hope will clarify many of the questions that we have about these tests and give us a glimpse as to how they could help us move forward...

    Where do they come up with this stuff... I've never heard anyone complain about Australia being referred to as "down under". Do Aussies tell the NY times this kind of stuff as a joke?
