So I'm not too surprised that NVIDIA isn't using custom CPU cores for their new Orin SoC. But it really is a sign of the times: the market for custom Arm CPU cores is quickly shrinking. I have official confirmation from Nvidia's German Enterprise PR that they're using 8nm for Orin. This can to my knowledge only mean one thing: Samsung 8LPP.
