If nonprofits could be trusted I’d agree to at least $100 of what would otherwise go to taxes but nonprofits can’t be trusted - let’s remember the nfl was a non-profit

I believe Yang's proposal would limit donations of the grant to 501c3 public charities. The NFL is a nonprofit, but not a public charity. Every single church is a 501c3. Most private universities, museums, and many more. Kaleidoscopic sector.

AZ sort of does this. Allows tax payers to divert a portion of their tax payment ($500-$800) from government to an approved education or foster care nonprofit. It makes people feel empowered, lowers tax base, & furthers inequality across schools & child services
