Is there any specific reason why? I'd think that popular vote was outside, but I'm curious to hear your opinion on it.

Basically what @BeKindSSB mentioned. Sentiment was more common a few years ago, but I didn't expect change this drastic to happen that soon. Still just one data sample though.

That's fair. I think guys like someone who's moreso supportive about it more than anything. I could see a lot of girls not really being down with the idea of competition for a videogame, especially as deep as some people can take it, but that emotional support would mean a lot.

I think a lot of guys downplay girl's interest in competitive video games. I think they're is just more barrier to entry as a girl since on top of learning the ropes of a pretty establish game you have the additional hurdle of people always pointing out that you are indeed a girl

and it kind of kills the fun of what is suppose to be a hobby. I see a common sentiment of 'keeping girls away' from the toxic scene but I wish more people would talk about making it more inviting.
