Well, since they don't have to pay for the cartridge, storage, distribution and other logistic fees i think its fair for digital games to be at least 10$ cheaper than physical.
Wouldn't they already have done that by now to boost the sales of digital games?

Sadly it's not that simple. For example, FighterZ release price was 60$, same as physical. They say that the reason behind this is to have fair competition with physical stores but that just ridiculous. So what they do is selling digital codes to minor resellers at a lower price.

That's the reason behind digital codes on web stores like instant gaming or Cdkeys being so cheap. Example: Mario Maker 2 is 48€ in IG and Nintendo gives you 3€ back in eShop money for buying digital so it's 45€ for a brand new game. Even Amazon can't compete with that.
