Respectfully, prayer won't work either. The best antidote to hatred is to just let it run its course, to let it bask in the sunshine of the marketplace of ideas so that other, better ones can drown it out naturally.

Love and logic is part of that, yes; engagement is the marketplace of ideas. I agree with everything you say. It's just the prayer part that I don't support because I can't support it—I don't believe in any force that could possibly listen.
