1/2 There is an article in the Washington Post about me being not related to Robert E. Lee. I have chosen not to engage because I am currently on a regiment of medication that has made it difficult to keep my head up. There are also family dynamics that make this difficult.

Choosing not to engage is the wiser course of action, I agree. The better use of time and energy is to care for yourself and your family. Hang in there.

I saw and looked at claims you were not related to R.E. Lee a while ago using public records and a top genealogical database and found you had at least one pair of common great-great...-grandparents with him, Jonathan Jennings and Elizabeth Parker Jennings, from the 17th Century.

I double-checked database today after reading
@washingtonpost article and found those connections are no longer present. Perhaps new genealogical research has supplanted old. Anyway, don't be embarrassed, genealogy is an inexact "science" only as good as the records referenced.
