Too much of a good thing: All "desirable" personality traits become counterproductive if too pronounced, turning from virtues into vice. http://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0963721418793134 …pic.twitter.com/4WEqottcDm

Doesn’t leadership peak at iq 120? And say we definite good leadership as judgement and effectiveness combined. Then it seems like iq fits the same pattern.
Leadership should peak by organizational scale, and AFIK it's closer to 130s. AFAIK leadership forms in every socio-economic class at the 15 and 30 marks.
Do you have research handy to share?
when talking about iq it gets better and better until you hit genius level 140+ then there is no obvious effect.
Cognitive capacities and IQ are not generally considered personality traits. Nonetheless, at higher and higher levels, even IQ has a down side...being constantly surrounded by relative idiots.
I’d be really interested to see if high IQ (130+) is positively or negatively correlated with happiness. The only research I could find stops at IQ of 129.
According to John Milton it can. Also, it seems, extreme IQ ppl seem to be either laser beam focused on one area of life only, or ppl who can't focus into a productive, healthy life, largely. Anything can travel from virtue to vice.
People which are very high in openness (e.g. creative) usually have hard time in life...
Not a personality trait.
