    Systems, not goals. I always believed I should set stretch goals and work hard to achieve them. Then, with time, I realized the fallacy in that. Many goals are subject to things outside your control. All systems are within your control. Control what you can control.

    Good opposites are fascinating and instructive to me. Recent additions: 1) The opposite of defensiveness isn’t the absence of it.. it’s curiosity. 2) The opposite of greed isn’t generosity - its contentment.

    Leaders need to be right most of the time. If you're right all of the time, you aren't taking enough risk. If you're not right most of the time, people won't follow you.
