they did neither though. as pointed out, in the last 12 months USBP apprehended 253,141 immigrants—or fewer than 700/day.

The answer, by the way, is that they have done neither in the past year. In the last 12 months for which data is available (3/17-2/18) USBP apprehended 253,141 immigrants—fewer than 700/day. (Beginning of last yr was abnormal and apprehensions creeping up — but not _that_ much.)

We got an anonymous Sinclair anchor to walk us through what it’s been like over the last month -- and how people should actually be channeling their anger at the company (hint: it doesn’t involve tweeting)

Great time to read about how Ben Carson is actually doing exactly the opposite, using HUD to scale back the enforcement of fair housing laws

Actually, just read this New York Times report, appropriately titled “Under Ben Carson, HUD Scales Back Fair Housing Enforcement”:

Exhibit B: This is no secret. Carson even decided to get rid of the words “inclusion” and “free from discrimination” from HUD’s mission statement

Reflect on this: Under Ben Carson, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has systematically tried to scale back the enforcement of the fair housing laws, or, in Carson’s words, the “mission that he [MLK] died for”

When you couple this with his endorsement of Sinclair forcing broadcasters around the country to read a scripted piece to camera, the intention is crystal clear. And terrifying.

Trump's repeated attacks against Amazon are disturbing because he's carelessly spreading a falsehood (that the Post Office loses money doing business with Amazon). BUT they're even more disturbing, because it's obvious that what he's actually going after is independent journalism

It’s weirdly fitting that a White House that‘s into old, debunked policies is also into a frat game that was popular ten years ago
