@TeamYouTube@YTCreators If you cared so much about Youtube Gaming, how come so many of your gaming creators have received copyright claims against their original content by WMG and KSI? No response on the matter for 22h now. Fix your systems.2 replies 1 retweet 19 likes -

Since KSI it his ppl made the claim it’s probably more practical or expedient to TAG HIM, than the CEO of YouTube... just a thought...

Since the claims are so widespread among several gaming creators, it is likely unintentional, but rather a bad design flaw within Youtube automatic systems regarding Content IDs and copyright claiming.

True. But as the claimants, they can reverse the claims on any specific video ASAP if they are made aware of it. The bigger problem with the Claims system is actually on the personal data forced to be shared (legal name, address, phone etc) that part is a YT problem.

Thanks for shedding some light - read up a bit more as well. Just seems like a massive flaw when a big youtuber with several people behind them can seemingly automatically claim others original gameplay as their own. Still a long way to go for their content recognition algorithm.

It’s definitely something that needs some work, though from an engineering standpoint I’m surprised it works as well as it does.
A secondary verification filter before applying any rule set to a creators content would help, but the legality and liability may be too complex
