Great result for the SNP after running a tandem campaign for the Scottish Parliament election and the Westminster by-election. Well done and - a fine example of teamwork.

📣 : "I don't expect everyone on the panel to agree with me on independence, I don't expect everyone in Scotland to agree. But that's precisely why this question needs to go to the people. Once the COVID crisis has passed, Scotland must have that choice."

Among the languages MSPs will use today as they are sworn in are BSL, Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi, Doric, Scots, Gaelic, Canadian French, German, Welsh, Orcadian and Zimbabwean Shona. Eclectic or what?

I was delighted to make my affirmation today in English and in Gaelic, though I did so under protest as my allegiance is with the people, not the Crown. I recommend giving a follow if you agree!

Privilege to make my solemn affirmation as the MSP for Caithness, Sutherland & Ross today. I might have lost a lot of my Gaelic but it means a lot to say it in my mother tongue too ❤️

Gal Gadot is wrong. Israel is not at 'war' with Palestine. Israel is butchering Palestine. Again.

Tomorrow will contest the Airdrie & Shotts Westminster by-election. Myself and the FM have both seen 1st hand today what a fantastic representative for the area Anum would be. Please tomorrow.

Commiserations to those who weren’t elected. I’m particularly sorry that communities in the north of Scotland won’t have the benefit of talented & thoughtful representatives like Holyrood would have been better for them.

It's the honour of a lifetime to be elected to serve the beautiful Highlands & Islands in the Scottish Parliament. Thanks to all who placed their trust in the SNP & Nicola Sturgeon to lead us out of the pandemic & into a future Scotland can choose for ourselves 💛🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
