I heartily concur with @sapinker: "The AHA is turning itself into a laughingstock."

Moreover, if Dawkins should be unpersoned, what about past award winners like Alice Walker and Margaret Sanger? Will they lose their awards? (Sanger's own organization, Planned Parenthood, is currently disowning her.)
I should note that Dawkins' point about Rachel Dolezal is one I made in my own book, so I suppose I will never win a Humanist of the Year award.pic.twitter.com/8Qm5s1VZMu
No one ever bothers to explain why transracialism is unthinkable, they just attack you for linking it with transgender issues.
All anti-religious movements eventually become what they claim to abhor... just another creed with its own orthodoxy and dogma.
The AHA may have betrayed its own values, but is this really deserving of the "cancel" label? It's their award and they don't otherwise appear to be trying to impede Dawkins from receiving any other awards, employment, etc. Using the label here feels like "cancel creep."
I guess Reason's commitment to personal liberty ends when people start choosing their own gender identities.
No Robby, what they said was that they expect their award winners to maintain their values even after they have won. Lie less, cry more.
Reason Magazine betrayed it's own values. Shikha Sood Dalmka made countless points well worth discussing - and in any case, this kind of illiberal silencing was not consistent with Reason's libertarian values. Done yet Ace?
