False accusations in sexual assault happen at a lower rate than false accusations of violence crimes. The feminist demand is to support and believe victims in an advocacy context, and to prompt investigations, not to convict based solely on allegations. The CJS needs work.

Unfortunately I only see the *false accusations happen rarely* statistics being used to shut people down who ask for investigations and accountability
-
Have you looked at the stats? Allegations should be investigated. That’s the fucking point. And independent of that, those who allege that they have been hurt should get some help and support. And false allegations, where they do happen, should be investigated. Duh.
-
Yes, I have and I am not arguing against support or investigation. It is however undeniable that some (not you) use the *false allegations are rare* to hinder investigations into allegations of abuse
-
The take away is that full and thorough investigations need to be had. And better education on consent and harassment needs to happen. That being said, this girl who did this should be prosecuted. False accusations are equally violent and unacceptable!

I agree with you 100%

This poor lad has suffered and will be scarred for years because of this. He should sue these girls to serve as a deterrent to some others like them. Btw, this reminds me of the below tweets by a bitter womanpic.twitter.com/PdDpSZ3MfM

These actions aren’t new. This has been going on well before 1700’s. People believe what is easier to explain in their heads. Although people can’t believe “someone would do that”, they also don’t want to “upset the victim by calling her/him a liar”
That boys life is ruined. -

Hard thing is, a victim of sexual assault has some ability to deal with their recovery in private. A falsely accused is rarely provided such a luxury, thus creating a need to always have the evidence on hand that proves their innocence, forever. We call it the “box from hell”.

Most people don't read books any more. "To Kill a Mockingbird" is a classic example of a girl lying about a man raping her. The statement "accusers must be believed" is wrong. Presumption of Innocence and following Due Process has been frogotten. Not following mob mentality

I totally agree with your statement. Victims need to be heard. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, has championed Brett Kavanaugh’s
#MeToo
accuser, but Juanita Broaddrick says the senator never showed any interest in her 1999 rape allegation against President Bill Clinton.
