Last year I read a letter to the editor (in ?) by somebody who had carried a CO2 monitoring device around a mega-conference (EGU?). They found it was *super* high in some of the rooms. Now Google is failing me; does anybody remember the author/title? ?

Pleased to see Duncan Wingham (founder and director of + ex-head of ) receive a knighthood today for services to climate science. Well deserved!

Time to change my bot's database of MPs! I'm disappointed with the GE, but still excited to track our new Westminster cohort's messaging on the climate crisis. I'm really happy with the engaged following that has developed this year - join us in 2020!

Great piece about an emotional night in the ice with , and other new friends. I'm hopeful and fearful that one day in the future we'll sail on an open Arctic ocean as senior scientists. Thanks also to for creating that amazing story.

I work on CryoSat-2 & I'd really like to go to this! But Sicily is so hard to get to sustainably & I really want to be better at that. Almost everyone will have to fly there for a three day conference. A bit frustrating when it's just 2 weeks before conference!

Privileged to feature so prominently in 's fantastic article about the CO2 footprint of climate science in I'm personally a long way from perfect on this, just like most of us. That's why it's so important to talk about it!

The CESM tutorial was one of the beat learning experiences I’ve had. Peering under the hood of one of the most used climate models was edifying! Plus, Boulder is lovely and I got to hike with some excellent people.

Great to see UCL leading this, and really want to see more signatures from staff ! Sadly we've accepted almost a million pounds from the fossil fuel industry in the last five years (partly to research new strategies)😮😰

A cool job, but it's in Central London on national minimum wage (that's £7.40 per hour for 21-24 year olds). Only the richest grads can afford to take this contract, entrenching inequality in academia. would you consider paying the real living wage for skilled work?
