/2 You don't need one. Apply for all the jobs. If the first 5 companies turn you down, keep at it. Some of the best people I have ever worked with don't have a CS degree. Many don't even have a diploma.

/3 "WHAT ABOUT THE FUNDAMENTALS THO!?" Yes, CS fundamentals can be valuable, but 99% of the time, you're going to be working inside a framework maintaining a pre-existing thing.

/4 IMO If your org is more focused on hiring rockstars, than mentorship, sponsorship, and giving people a chance, you're org is not worth the effort and you're missing out on the people who will drive your success later.
